Job summary

Veranda of Pensacola, a family owned assisted and independent living community, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 1st shift (7:00am–3:00pm). This role involves direct resident care, medication supervision, and collaboration with staff to maintain a safe, compassionate living environment in Pensacola, FL.

Qualifications include an active nursing license, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to perform physical tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current nursing license.
• Must have CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as defined in the care plan.
• Supervise medications, document each dose, and ensure orders are received.
• Communicate incidents to staff and families and complete incident reports promptly.

LPN Qualifications:

• Must have and maintain a current license to practice nursing
• Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Must be able to perform job-relevant duties, including standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting/moving a minimum of 50 pounds

LPN Job Duties:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as defined in the resident care plan
• Medication supervision, correctly documenting each medication given and ensuring that medications are ordered and received
• Communicates with staff and family after any incident as well as completes the incident report accurately and timely
• Diabetic Care, Routine Injections, and Oxygen Management
• Other Duties as assigned
