Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Wilbraham, MA is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for evenings 3pm-11pm. As part of a warm, home-like community, you will deliver compassionate nursing care to residents and work with a dedicated team.

You will assess residents, document changes, mentor aides, and coordinate with providers while upholding safety and regulatory standards. A current LPN license and CPR, plus 1–2 years’ experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state LPN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with elderly residents is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, document, and communicate residents’ status accurately.
• Observe changes in health and behavior and report to the care team.
• Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants on daily tasks.
• Mentor Lead Resident Care Assistants in job duties.
• Coordinate care with community providers through case management.
• Balance service needs with resident independence.
• Recognize and report elder abuse or neglect per regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and operate personal emergency response systems.

Benchmark at Orchard Valley is looking for a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team!

Full Time Evenings 3pm-11pm

$32.50-$36.50/HR

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
