Job Summary: Geisinger offers outpatient Clinic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Geisinger has hundreds of community sites that allow LPNs to work to the top of their license while providing top-notch care in an ambulatory setting.

Job Duties

About the Endoscopy Department

The Endoscopy team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville treats patients of all ages. We use a comprehensive approach to gastroenterology care, both in screening and diagnostics, utilizing advanced interventional platforms. Our team includes Physicians, RNs, LPNs, Technicians, and leadership staff. We perform advanced diagnostic gastroenterology procedures that were once done in an OR but are now safely performed in our outpatient clinic, enhancing patients' quality of life.

The Endoscopy Clinic LPN provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and their family, assisting in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include following up on diagnostic tests, maintaining a clean environment, and providing care for patients within their age range.

• Obtain and document patient history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data for the provider.
• Assist the provider in clinical care and minor procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, complete paperwork, and ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with patients and providers, respond to questions, and administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring asepsis and availability of instruments.

Work is performed in a clinical environment, with responsibilities including compliance with policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills will be outlined during orientation.

Position Details

Hiring Incentive: $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years, with stipulations.

Hours: Rotational day shifts, 8 or 10 hours, with self-scheduling available.

Weekends/Holidays/On-call: Rotational on-call including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
