Sterling Care Rockville Nursing is seeking an LPN to supervise staff and provide high-quality nursing care to Residents in a rights-respecting environment. You will administer medications, check staff performance, and maintain accurate charting across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered with the state as an LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents in an environment that promotes rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Provides supervision to G.N.A’s and subordinate staff, checking that assignments are completed.
• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within the scope of the LPN licensure; maintain narcotics accountability.
• Review daily the documentation of dispensing of controlled substances and narcotics.
• Place pharmacy orders and administer newly prescribed medications; document accordingly.
• Carry out contemporaneous charting and monthly evaluations of each Resident.

• Carry out direct contemporaneous charting in your shift. Chart detailed monthly evaluations of each Resident that reflect his/her condition and progress.
