Job summary

St. John's Lutheran Community in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our compassionate care team. This role offers part-time and full-time opportunities, with evening shifts 2:45pm to 10:15pm and a flexible 8–24 hour weekly schedule.

We pay a $4 shift differential for evenings and overnights, plus a $1 weekend differential and holiday time-and-a-half. The LPN provides routine daily nursing care and resident assessments, mentors CNAs and TMAs, and works with the Nurse

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LPN license and CPR certification required.
• Experience in gerontological nursing preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and resident support as directed by care plans.
• Conduct resident assessments and mentor CNAs/TMAs on shift.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager to manage day-to-day nursing operations.

St. John's Lutheran Community is looking for a licensed practical nurse to join our team! We have a variety of opportunities both full time and part time on all shifts. We are offering a $4 shift differential for evenings and overnights, a $1 weekend differential for everyone, and time and a half on holidays worked!

LPN POSITION SUMMARY:

The licensed practical nurse position provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with the resident’s assessment, choices and care plan. The nurse completes resident’s assessments as directed by the Nurse Manager. Each nurse mentors and monitors T.M.A’s, C.N.A’s, and residents for their shift. The LPN works closely with the NM tor to manage the day-to-day functions.

LPN POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The licensed practical nurse is required to have a current license to practice in the state of Minnesota and current CPR certification. Experience in gerontological nursing is preferred. Must possess excellent clinical skills and and understanding of the nursing process in order to monitor the nursing care delivered by the TMA and C.N.A. Must be able communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
