Job description

NOW HIRING: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
Join Our Clinical Leadership Team!

Complete Care is a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation center dedicated to improving lives through high-quality healthcare, evidence-based nursing practices, and compassionate service. We provide a modern, highly supportive clinical environment where both residents and healthcare professionals thrive.

Why Join Us?

At Complete Care, we recognize that overnight nurses are essential bedside leaders who keep our facility safe and running smoothly while our residents rest.

  • Competitive Pay & Fast Liquidity: Updated base wages, generous NOC (overnight) and weekend shift differentials, plus our voluntary Paid Daily option (Work today, get paid today!).

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Customizable Health, Dental, and Vision insurance plans; short-term and long-term disability coverage; plus company-paid life insurance.

  • Work-Life Harmony: Generous accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), paid sick leave, and corporate paid holiday rates.

  • Professional Investment: Generous tuition reimbursement, clinical certification support, and structured career advancement pathways into RN or unit management roles.

  • Supportive Overnight Environment: Practice in a clean, modern facility with well-maintained equipment, clear emergency protocols, accessible leadership, and strong staffing ratios.

Key Responsibilities

As an overnight bedside leader, a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN oversees clinical routines, maintains continuous resident safety, and manages medication workflows:

  • Overnight Medication Administration & Treatments:

    • Prepare, verify, and administer oral, topical, injectable, and enteral medications accurately according to physician orders and established care plans.

    • Perform specialized clinical treatments, wound care, gastrostomy tube care, and blood glucose monitoring strictly within the Wisconsin scope of practice.

    • Conduct precise controlled substance counts and narcotic inventory reconciliation at the start and end of every NOC shift alongside incoming/outgoing nurses.

  • Proactive Health Monitoring & Change-of-Condition Reporting:

    • Conduct night-time resident rounds, assessing vital signs, pain levels, respiratory status, and overall comfort.

    • Rapidly detect subtle or acute health status changes during NOC hours, executing emergency protocols and notifying attending physicians or supervising RNs immediately.

  • Care Planning, Documentation & Order Transcription:

    • Maintain accurate, real-time clinical entries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, charting overnight observations, interventions, and physician contacts.

    • Transcribe new physician orders, update Medication Administration Records (MARs), and coordinate with pharmacy providers for morning stat medication deliveries.

  • NOC Unit Leadership & Direct Supervision:

    • Supervise and mentor overnight Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), delegating resident repositioning schedules, bed safety checks, and night-time hygiene routines.

    • Foster a calm, restful, and secure environment across the unit, ensuring call lights are answered promptly and resident dignity is preserved.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety Protocols:

    • Rigorously maintain compliance with federal, state (DHS), and local long-term care regulations, HIPAA privacy laws, and facility infection control policies.

Qualifications

To qualify for the role of Licensed Practical Nurse LPN, candidates must possess:

  • Licensure: An active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse LPN license in good standing with the State of Wisconsin (or multi-state NLC equivalent).

  • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR Certification required upon hire.

  • Clinical Abilities: Ability to work independently with strong diagnostic judgment, time management, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

  • Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency with previous EMR platform experience (e.g., PointClickCare) preferred.

  • Experience: Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is preferred; however, any dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse LPN new graduate seeking a rewarding NOC shift schedule is warmly encouraged to apply!
