Responsibilities

• Direct the day to day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities with assigned staff.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure it reflects day to day nursing procedures.
• Provide written and oral reports/recommendations on shift activities as required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain total care.
• Ensure personnel comply with job descriptions and participate in QA and surveys.
• Complete charting and documentation, discharge plans, and reports as required.
