Job summary

Chalet Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The role requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards and supervision from the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

You will direct day-to-day nursing operations, document care, administer medications, and coordinate with other departments to ensure resident needs are met in a compassionate, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• LPN with current unencumbered state license.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan the shift’s services.
• Complete and file admission/transfer/discharge records and transcribe physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop good rapport with inter-departmental staff to maintain nursing services.
• Provide patient care and supervise nursing staff on the unit/shift.
• Ensure safety and privacy of resident care and document nursing notes.
