Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Farmington, Missouri seeks a full-time IV-LPN for ambulatory care. You will room patients, take vitals, administer medications, initiate IV fluids, and perform point-of-care testing under physician supervision.

Additionally, you will triage calls, document accurately, and uphold HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, and infection prevention standards in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This safety-sensitive role is essential to delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN with IV certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing and medication administration. Assists with medical office procedures and initiating/discontinuing IV fluids as directed.
• Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Role Purpose

The Staff LPN Ambulatory is responsible for providing direct patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider in an ambulatory care setting. Assigned tasks may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, initiating/discontinuing IV fluids, performing point of care lab testing, assisting with procedures and triaging patient phone calls. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with applicable state regulations.
