Job summary

Summa Health Medical Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Internal Medicine Office at White Pond in Akron, OH. You will assist with nursing care, coordinate patient plans, and support care teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.

The role requires Ohio LPN licensure and a nursing degree; locality is Akron with occasional travel within the medical group. This is a full-time, dayshift position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Summary

Assists, provides, and coordinates nursing care for patients to obtain and reach optimal health. Participates with the care teams in Summa Health to provide patient focused care. Is able to maintain and adapt to daily operations, interpret and execute provided instructions, and work reliably with professionalism in a medical office environment.

Formal Education Required

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing. A nursing school accepted for candidacy status from an accrediting body is preferred.

Experience & Training Required

• Current license to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Additional related previous experience may be required for various practices.

• Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
