Snohomish County Jail is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to administer medications, prepare daily treatment carts, and respond to medical emergencies within a secure detention facility.

The role requires a WA Practical Nurse license, with a preferred NAPNES course and at least one year of medication administration experience. Candidates must meet background and testing requirements and be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• State of Washington Practical Nurse license required.
• NAPNES Medication Course preferred.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or DACA status per RCW 41.14.100.
• One year of medication administration experience preferred.
• Must pass job-related tests.

Responsabilités

• Administers and dispenses prescribed medications on all modules as delegated by physician.
• Prepares treatment carts for daily treatments within scope of practice.
• Responds to medical emergencies; provides emergency care until RN or physician arrives.
• Takes vital signs and assesses patient needs; provides emergency medical treatment when required.
• Charts health status, medication logs, and prepares required reports.
• Maintains inventory records of medications, supplies, and equipment.
• Records medications when necessary.
