Job summary

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center (KMHC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Outpatient Infusion Therapy Clinic. The LPN will provide infusion services, assist in treatments, and document patient histories and prescribed plans of care.

Ideal candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed LPN in Michigan, with BLS, and at least 3 years of RN experience; chemo training is preferred. Excellent communication and safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in Michigan.
• Must hold and maintain BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience as a registered nurse, chemo training preferred.
• Must exhibit a high level of human relations skills and communication skills.
• Must have a general knowledge of nursing protocols, procedures, safety procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide infusion therapy and related care in outpatient clinic.
• Administer treatments and manage infusion procedures.
• Document patient medical history, condition, and prescribed course of treatment.
• Advise patient on home care and necessary follow up care.

The Infusion Therapy LPN provides care to patients in our outpatient infusion therapy clinic. Administers and assists in treatments to patients and provides infusion services, response management, and treatment education. Documents patient's medical history, condition, and prescribed course of treatment. Advises patient on home care and necessary follow up care.
