Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver efficient and effective nursing care under the supervision of an RN. You will participate in assessments, care planning, medication administration, and supervising unlicensed staff to ensure positive outcomes and resident satisfaction.

The role requires graduation from an approved practical nursing program and current state licensure or pending licensure, with BLS/CPR certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes in condition.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
