Job summary

The State of New Hampshire invites applications for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse I-II at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. The position offers 6:45am–3:15pm shifts with every other weekend, and a $2.00/hour weekend differential.

Base pay ranges from $31.11 to $51.02 per hour with a weekly stipend for direct care and nursing. Responsibilities include medication administration, care planning, supervision of CNAs/LNAs, and collaboration with RN staff.

Qualifications

• CPR competency required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification/permits required.
• Ability to provide nursing care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Document nursing care and update resident records.
• Administer medications and note effects to guard against polypharmacy.
• Develop and revise Plan-of-Care based on resident status.
• Supervise nursing assistants and ensure unit safety.
• Communicate with nurse manager and physicians regarding resident care.
• Provide direct ADL support and patient education on care plans.
• Inform family/guardians about care and progress.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as directed.
• Maintain CPR competency and adhere to department policies.
