Job summary

State of New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN I-II) for full-time shifts. LPNs deliver direct nursing care, document plans, administer medications, and supervise nursing staff to ensure resident safety and quality of life.

LPN II may serve as charge nurse with certified qualifications; minimum licensing is required, with NFLPN certification preferred for higher responsibility. Competitive hourly wages apply.

Qualifications

• Education: recognized practical nursing program approved by NH Board of Nursing.
• Experience: LPN I requires no prior experience; LPN II requires 3 years as LPN.
• License/Certification: active NH practical nurse license or temporary permit; NFLPN certification for LPN II.

Responsibilities

• Document nursing care in residents' records and administer medications.
• Supervise LPN I and LNA staff; conduct unit rounds for quality of care.
• Communicate with physicians and health professionals about resident care.
• Provide direct care, ADL support, and education of residents on care plans.
