Job summary

Empath Home Health seeks a compassionate PRN LPN to provide individualized home health care across Ocala, FL and surrounding counties. The role supports a high‑quality, patient‑centered care model in patients’ homes with flexible scheduling and potential growth within Empath Health’s network.

Requirements include a Florida LPN license and graduate from an approved nursing program; at least 1 year of home health experience is preferred, with IV certification being a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Own a current Florida LPN license.
• Minimum one year experience and/or training in home health care preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing services in compliance with agency policy and procedures, state and federal regulations, and the patient’s plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Clinical Coordinator.
• Assists the Physician and/or Registered Nurse in carrying out the plan of care and in performing specialized procedures.
• Performs patient and family instruction on diet, medication, and treatment.

Locations

Home health visits in Ocala, FL area (Marion, Lake, and/or Sumter counties).

Schedule

PRN; 5-15+ home health visits per week. Required weekend/holiday rotations.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll need

• Applicants must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and own a current Florida LPN license.

• Intravenous (IV) Certification preferred.
