Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, compassionate, reliable, and a team player. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow through are necessary. A high aptitude for patient care and customer service is essential.

Located in Middlebury's farmlands, it accommodates 98 residents, is licensed by Vermont, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. It provides a home-like environment with specialized care services.

Long-Term Care Unit
Building on a 30-year tradition, our long-term care unit offers nursing care and assistance tailored to residents' abilities and needs, separate from our Memory Care and Post-Acute units.
Memory Care Unit
Designed for individuals with dementia, this unit provides activity-based, supportive care aimed at maintaining dignity and functional ability. Staffed with dedicated advocates, it caters to residents with increasing cognitive impairment who often cannot advocate for themselves.
Post-Acute Care
This unit provides supportive, goal-directed care after surgery or hospitalization, aiming to help patients return home as quickly and safely as possible. Conditions treated include strokes, neurological issues, orthopedic, respiratory, cardiac, and post-trauma cases. Therapy services are available Monday through Saturday, with nursing staff supporting activities when therapy staff are not present.
