Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in New Mexico seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. The role supports accurate assessments, patient education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires NM LPN licensure, current BLS, and strong communication in English. It follows a standard 8 AM to 5 PM schedule in a full-time capacity at our Alamogordo facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program required.
• Current LPN/LVN Licensure in the State of New Mexico required.
• Current American Heart – HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) card required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision in all departments.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments under RN supervision across patient populations.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures; participate in quality activities.
