Job summary

Bethesda Health Group seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time shift 6:45am-7:15pm at Bethesda Dilworth. You will provide basic nursing care, assess residents on admission and ongoing, document findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include updating care plans, delivering safe medication administration and other treatments, and assisting with ADLs. IV certification accepted; strong communication and critical thinking required.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in LPN.
• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months.
• IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Able to assess basic nursing needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families and staff.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift heavy objects with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and ongoing.
• Document assessments accurately and communicate changes to the IDT.
• Participate in care planning and update the plan as interventions change.
• Administer medications and treatments safely; IV therapy if certified.
• Assist with ADLs and respond to call lights.
• Maintain professionalism during crises and ensure timely SBAR communication.
