Job summary

Las Cruces Wellness & Rehabilitation seeks a Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care in line with professional standards and center policies.

The role oversees nursing personnel, coordinates care per physician orders, and engages in education and quality initiatives to support patient outcomes at our Las Cruces facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN/LVN in the state.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.

• Supervise nursing personnel to deliver care in accordance with standards.
• Coordinate care delivery per physician orders, policies, and guidelines.
• Notify departments of patient changes, admissions, discharges, and other updates.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.

Objective

Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the HCR Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Q.A.A.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Practice Guide Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Locates and uses emergency equipment when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed LPN/LVN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
