Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Livonia, MI is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver high-quality care for our residents. You will lead a team of resident assistants and med techs, supervise caregivers, and ensure compliance with nursing home regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan LPN license with prior management experience in a senior living or long-term care setting, and possesses strong communication skills to engage residents and families effectively.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• Experience in senior living or long-term care with some leadership exposure.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.

Homestead Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for one of our Community in Livonia. The LPN will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Communication with pharmacies.
• Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Leading our resident assistants and med techs to ensure superior care (patient assessments, audits, and staff training).
• Supervise and support Caregivers in delivering care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• Proven experience of successful nursing role in a senior living or long-term care environment; most of which should be in a management role.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Must have the ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees, and the community at large with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
