Job summary

Effingham Health System seeks an LPN Floor Supervisor to support the Director of Nurses in planning, coordinating and managing LPN clinical services for residents in the Care Center. You will implement care per guidelines and communicate with medical staff and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires self-motivation and the ability to function in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment, with supervision of LPN staff and collaboration with the DON and ADON.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to completion of high school, and/or completion of LPN training.
• Management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling and communications.
• Must have an unencumbered Georgia LPN license and BLS CPR certification.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in emergencies: assess resident, notify physician and family, document.
• Supervise and counsel nursing staff, in coordination with RN Supervisor and DON.
• Answer calls during medication administration and as needed.
• Monitor equipment and supply needs; report issues promptly.
• Assist with scheduling to cover openings and staff development.
• Maintain LPN Charge Nurse competency and stay current on initiatives.
• Ensure timely, proper resident care and meals assistance.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
