Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an LPN for its float pool on a PRN 12‑hour shift schedule. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with an active LPN license in Iowa or a compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients under supervision of a department director/manager and RN.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including wound care and specimen collection; may administer medications.
• Document care provided and communicate patient status to the RN, physician, patient and family.
• Assist with daily living activities and support the development of the care plan.
• Monitor patient status, advocate for patient well‑being, and participate in performance improvement activities.
