Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse for our float pool at Primary Care - Wareham, MA. The role supports patient care across sites with day shifts and a 40-hour week.

The position offers a $5,000 new hire sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including time off, retirement plan, and tuition assistance. LPN licensure in MA/RI and BLS are required, with EHR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
• Six months or more experience in related setting preferred.
• Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, medication administration, and patient/family teaching.
• Room patients and perform procedures per policies and scope of practical nursing.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office.
• Communicate test results and schedules by phone; provide appropriate follow-up under supervision.
• Use an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related software to access/update patient information.
• Travel to SPG Primary Care sites as needed to cover staffing shortages.
