Job summary

Baptist Health Hardin is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to float to the Emergency Department during night shifts (7p–7a). You will provide age-appropriate nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and Baptist Health policies.

The role requires completion of an accredited LPN program, KY licensure, BLS within 90 days, and crisis prevention training.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LPN program leading to licensure.
• Current unrestricted LPN licensure in Kentucky.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Gathers initial assessment data and participates in reassessments under RN supervision.
• Evaluates patient progress toward goals and communicates with the RN.
• Performs treatments and administers medications per policies and LPN scope.
• Involves patients, families and significant others in data collection and care planning.
