Job summary
The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is seeking a nursing paraprofessional to assist in medical monitoring and treatment for consumers at the Center. The role involves supervising part-time LPNs, adhering to policies, and ensuring OSHA standards are met.
Responsibilities include recording vital signs, documenting in medical records, and contributing to discharge summaries. A valid SC practical nursing license and CPR certification are required, with potential shifts coverage
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and licensed to practice in state of SC.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Extensive knowledge of practical nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist the medical monitoring and treatment of all consumers during their stay at the Center.
- Supervise part-time LPNs and other subordinate personnel in nursing duties and ensure OSHA standards are met.
- Participate in nursing reports at beginning and end of each shift.
- Follow DHEC regulations and SCVRD policies for medication handling and administration.
