Job summary

Riverside Health System is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team in Saluda, VA. The LPN will participate in developing and updating care plans, supervise CNAs, and ensure medications and treatments are delivered per orders while maintaining patient dignity and safety.

The role requires an LPN diploma, VA license or compact, and CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire, with additional First Aid within 30 days.

Qualifications

• LPN Diploma from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid (FA) within 30 days of hire.
• LPN license in VA or compact; board eligible for new grads within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Medications and treatments administered accurately according to orders.
• Respect resident choices within safety and dignity limits and follow policies.
• Assign duties to non-professional staff (CNAs) to ensure quality care.
• Engage team members to achieve optimal performance and address issues.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
• Identify changes in condition with proper Interact documentation.
• Demonstrate consistent follow-through for positive outcomes.
• Utilize good judgment and specialized nursing skills.
