Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Department team in Albuquerque, NM. The LPN will provide patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity ED environment under RN and physician supervision.

Qualifications include NM or compact LPN licensure and BLS. We offer night/weekend differentials, tuition and certification reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration and basic procedures.

Responsibilities

Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.90 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic medical procedures in an emergency department (ED)/urgent care environment as permitted by state regulations.
• Assist in the triage process by gathering patient information and documenting symptoms and medical histories.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and physicians.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and other procedures as directed.
• Support patients and families by providing education and emotional reassurance during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in emergency response situations and contribute to team efforts during critical events.
• Restock supplies and ensure the facility is prepared for patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Nursing Diploma
• Licensed Practical Nurse-NM or out of state compact LPN license
• BLS required at time of hire
