Seeking: LPN Dispensing Nurse

Per Diem Hours: Varying days & hours, working on an as-needed basis.

• Weekdays: 4:45 AM - 1:15 PM
• Saturdays: 5:45 AM - 8:45 AM

Your Job as Dispensing Nurse

The LPN plays a crucial role in our patients’ treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. LPNs provide high-quality, safe, and efficient dispensing of medication doses to patients under the direction of the Medical Director or Physician. They are responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.

Your Responsibilities as Dispensing Nurse

• Work under the supervision of the Medical Director and Clinic Director
• Maintain professional standards of nursing care
• Prepare and administer medication as ordered, accurately and timely
• Maintain accurate records of medication received and dispensed
• Chart medication administration and patient progress accurately and promptly
• Ensure the safekeeping of all medication stock and records as per DEA, FDA, and ADP regulations
• Dedicate at least 90% of work hours to medication administration activities
• Handle urine collection, test result reading, and related documentation

Qualifications

Your Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Prefer 1 year of experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment, or addiction recovery
• Training or experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) highly preferred
• No history of alcohol or drug misuse for at least three years prior to employment

Licenses/Certifications

• Current LPN license in North Carolina
