Job summary

You will monitor residents, document care, and communicate with physicians and families. An Alabama LPN license is required; 1 year of facility experience is preferred, and CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Provide direct resident care per care plan and nursing standards.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• One year of health care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required and inform staff.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional status on a regular basis.
• Direct Nursing/Resident Care Assistants in performance of duties and report concerns.
• Document according to policies and regulations.
• Chart nurse’s notes that reflect care provided and resident responses.
• Report discrepancies and issues to the Resident Care Coordinator.
• Transcribe and verify physician orders.
• Administer medications per orders and document.
• Complete assessments on all assigned residents each shift.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and staff about resident condition and changes.
• Provide direct care as needed per care plan and standards.
• Perform other duties including special projects.
