Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct care to residents in accordance with the care plan and nursing standards.

The LPN will supervise Nursing/Resident Care Assistants, document care, report changes to the Resident Care Coordinator, administer medications as ordered, and complete shift assessments. CPR certification within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required and inform staff.
• Check residents on a regular basis to observe and evaluate physical and emotional status.
• Direct Nursing/Resident Care Assistants in the performance of their responsibilities and report concerns to the Resident Care Coordinator.
• Document according to policies and procedures and regulations.
• Chart nurse’s notes reflecting the care provided and resident responses.
• Transcribe and/or check physician orders and ensure orders are executed.
• Administer and document medication administration per physician’s orders.
• Complete assessments on all assigned residents on each shift.
• Report residents’ condition to oncoming staff.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and nursing staff about pertinent information.
