Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of unit specific protocols, workflows, equipment, and patient care standards.
• Administers prescribed medications safely.
• Displays cultural competence by respecting and adapting to diverse backgrounds and needs of patients and families.
• Engages proactively in continuous improvement measures on the assigned unit.
• Attends at least 80% of staff meetings annually, in-services, and conventions.
• Collects and maintains patient data and regulatory information as required by state requirements.
• Initiates appropriate infection control measures as needed.
