The role emphasizes teamwork, data collection, and adherence to practice standards. A VA LPN license and BLS are required, with potential driving duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Virginia LPN license required prior to onboarding.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• May require a Virginia driver's license (VADL).

Responsibilities

• Assist procedural team during ultrasound guided procedures, including biopsy, fluid aspiration, and drain placements.
• Assist nurse/provider with data collection on physical, psychological, social and cultural aspects.
• Organize and prioritize nursing care activities with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the RN/provider.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care and progress toward outcomes.
• Provide ongoing instructions and reinforcement of education and care plans.
• Provide a safe environment and delivery of care.
• Contribute to professional development of self and others.
• Demonstrate teamwork in patient care delivery.
• Other duties may be assigned.
