Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL is seeking a dedicated LPN to support the Digestive Disorders Clinic (DDC) in a full-time role. You will assist RNs, perform focused assessments, administer medications, and contribute to individualized patient care plans.

Responsibilities include documenting care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. ACLS preferred; state licensure required.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse with current state licensure and ongoing compliance.
• Experience with patient assessments and medication administration.
• Ability to educate patients and families on care plans.
• Strong documentation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and within scope.
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and report changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Support care plan development and evaluation.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Participate in staff orientation and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Prepare equipment and assist in procedures as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support code teams.
