Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our team at University Hospital. The role focuses on patient rooming, vital sign collection, and coordination of prior authorizations within a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program, an active Indiana or NLC license, BLS certification, orientation completion, and 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Full-time, day shift, weekday schedule with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires active LPN license in Indiana or NLC.
• BLS certification through the AHA is required; other life support may be needed per unit.
• Successful completion of orientation.

Description

Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.

• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Successful completion of orientation required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
