Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Nursing Home Department

Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 available for qualified applicants

Under supervision and delegation by the unit manager, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to:

1. Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis.
2. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
3. Assists RN with development of the plan of care.
4. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
5. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
6. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Education: Completion of LP/LV Nurse program (Diploma or Associate's) - Required

Required Licenses: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) License in Tennessee or another compact state

Required Skills: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire
