Mt Regis Recovery in Salem, VA, is hiring experienced LPNs for day shifts with a $3k sign-on bonus for full-time. Pay starts at $24.50/hour, with experience-based increases and rotating weekends.

7a–7p schedule, three 12-hour shifts, and shift differentials accompany this position at a 68-bed treatment center. The role involves monitoring patient health, coordinating with RNs and physicians, and delivering compassionate, professional nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current state LPN/LVN license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and provide basic nursing care per the plan of care.
• Model customer service with urgency to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate to meet patients' biopsychosocial and cultural needs and address complaints.
• Provide comfort and implement nursing interventions tailored to each patient.
• Progress patient toward wellness and maintain ongoing wellness.
• Discuss care with patients, report status changes to RNs/doctors.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Safely administer medications per procedures and orders.
• Document accurately patient symptoms, responses and progress.

Join the Mount Regis team and make a difference every day! Mount Regis Center is an intimate 68-bed fully accredited, licensed drug and alcohol treatment center in Salem, VA. We offer a number of empirically validated treatment methods to help our patients to the path of sobriety. We provide the following levels of care for adults 18+: detox, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.
• Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
• Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.
• Provide for the basic comfort of patient, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care that is individualized to their needs.
• Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.
• Discuss the care provided with patient and listen to their concerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patient, visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient's treatment in an effective manner.
• Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards.
• Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient symptoms, responses and progress.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
