Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Orchard Valley community in Massachusetts. Shifts are 7am–3pm and compensation is $32.50–$36.50 per hour.

You will deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to support residents and their families while ensuring safety and quality care. CPR and an LPN license are required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with elderly care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, document, and communicate residents’ status accurately.
• Report changes to care team and family per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor Lead Resident Care Assistants in all job aspects.
• Coordinate care needs with providers via case management.
• Balance service demands with resident independence.
• Recognize and report elder abuse or exploitation per regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and activation of personal emergency systems.

Benchmark at Orchard Valley is looking for a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team!

Full Time Days 7am-3pm

$32.50-$36.50/HR

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
