Job summary

Kraft Commons Assisted Living in Indianapolis is seeking a Staff Nurse for a Monday–Friday day shift to oversee patient care operations. You will supervise nursing assistants, administer medications, and ensure plans are followed while coordinating with physicians and other care teams.

The role requires maintaining an active RN or LPN license in Indiana and delivering high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Assists in management, planning and provision of patient care.
• Supervises nursing assistants under supervision.
• Visits patients daily to evaluate needs and effectiveness of care.
• Transcribes orders promptly and accurately.
• Maintains current patient care plans for all patients under charge.
• Notifies supervisor and contacts physicians for significant changes.
• Coordinates nursing activities with other patient care services.
• Maintains safe control and documentation of all medications.

Responsibilities

• Sees that all assignments are completed and that patients and unit are ready for the next shift.
• Administers and records medications and treatments as ordered by the attending physician.
• Gets report from preceding shift and notes any patient or staffing issues.
• Assists nursing assistants with difficult patients or heavy workloads.
• Monitors patient therapies and ensures timely attendance to scheduled activities.
