Job summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN to provide compassionate nursing care in a professional manner. The nurse will perform a wide range of patient care activities under the direction of the manager/provider and will supervise nursing assistants.

The role requires graduation from an approved LPN/LVN program, possession of a South Carolina LPN license, and CPR certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• CPR certification within six months of start date.
• Current South Carolina license as a Licensed Practical Nurse; basic first aid knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines governing the facility.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is followed in rendering nursing care.
• Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services for resident care.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required and assist in discharge planning as needed.
• Make rounds with physicians and notify attending physician of changes in condition.
• Carry out restorative and rehabilitative programs and monitor patients’ progress.
