Job summary

Lord Chamberlain, Inc. in Stratford, CT is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position. The LPN will provide direct nursing care, support residents with activities of daily living, and work closely with the healthcare team. Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted LPN license in Connecticut.
• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and the care team.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach, with good organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Take and record residents’ vital signs and monitor for changes.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
• Collect specimens for lab tests as ordered.
• Document care provided and report changes to supervisors.
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs.
