RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our RWJMS Colorectal Surgery department. The role supports patient care, clinic operations, and coordination of treatments across the care team.

The position offers a day shift, Monday through Friday, with 8:00 am to 4:30 pm hours and requires current LPN licensure and BLS certification. Experience in a medical office or health system is preferred, with EPIC EMR experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing with BLS certification.
• 1–2 years medical office or health system experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• EMR experience preferred (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, ensure orderly flow, and prepare them for examinations.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as in-office colonoscopy-related tasks.
• Educate patients on ostomy, wound care, and post-surgical instructions.
• Manage charting, vital signs, and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure sterile instrument handling.
• Document patient conditions and communicate changes to the team.
