Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services in Quincy, MA is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. In this role you will provide specialized nursing care in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program, a less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric care.

The CCS unit offers a newly renovated 10-bed setting with stays typically ranging from 3 to 5 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/ Bachelor’s degree).
• One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co-occurring disorders setting preferred.
• Familiarity with recovery oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document clients' self administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
• Monitor clients' physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff as needed.
• Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well-being.
• Deliver strength based, solution-focused nursing interventions and support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
• Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings to support high quality care.
