State of Oklahoma is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Chief James Smith Correctional Center / Medical unit. The chosen candidate will perform direct and indirect nursing care under supervision, including vital signs, medication administration, and patient assessments, in an on-site correctional health setting.

Level II requires one year of practical nursing experience; both Level I and Level II salaries are fixed by the agency and non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license as approved by the OK Board of Nursing or ENLC recognition.
• Level II requires 1 year of practical nursing experience; Level I does not require experience beyond licensure.

Responsabilités

• Performs nursing procedures or specialized functions under supervision.
• Evaluates responses to interventions and documents findings.
• Teaches basic nursing skills and delegates tasks such as vitals and specimen collection.
• Assists in assessing and recording the health status of patients and groups.
• Participates in developing and implementing the plan of care.
• Administers medications as ordered and reports information to the health team.
• Serves as Charge Nurse on a unit when assigned.
