Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Iowa or current state license
• Minimum 1 year nursing management experience preferred
• Long-term care experience required or preferred
• PointClickCare charting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and use of Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient program placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Receives/transcribes/implements physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians as needed.
