Job summary

Heritage Health in North Idaho is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist physicians with patient care in a clinic setting. The LPN will interview patients, obtain vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and assist with follow-up tasks and phone prescriptions under supervision.

The role requires an active Idaho LPN license, BLS certification, and preferred ambulatory care experience. Strong organization, safety compliance, and teamwork are essential in a PCMH-based care model.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho LPN license and BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred (3 years).
• Medical office experience required; knowledge of FQHCs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparing patients for clinic appointments.
• Assists with patient exams and direct hands-on care under supervision.
• Obtains vital signs, including pain score, at each visit.
• Reviews and documents patient medications.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Assists providers/medical staff with emergency care and crisis intervention.
• Ensures OSHA and HIPAA compliance and safety.
• Performs other duties as requested.
