Job summary

Lakewood Health System in central Minnesota is seeking a part-time LPN or Medical Assistant for our Dermatology clinic. You will support dermatology providers, scribe during procedures, and assist with MOHS-related care.

Responsibilities include patient flow management, prep of exam rooms, and consent for treatments while ensuring CLIA/OSHA compliance. EMR experience with EPIC is preferred. This role offers professional growth in a small-team setting with a strong patient focus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program.
• Must have and maintain a current LPN license or Medical Assistant certification.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ideal candidate has prior clinic experience and familiarity with Family Medicine/specialty care.
• EPIC EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic, high-quality patient care within the dermatology clinic setting.
• Scribe during procedures and patient visits.
• Prepare and assist during dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy and MOHS surgeries.
• Manage patient flow, exam room preparation, and supply organization.
• Handle in-basket items, patient calls, and prior authorizations.
• Ensure CLIA/OSHA compliance and maintain surgical instruments.
• Assist with MOHS training and pathology processes.
• Provide thorough patient education and post-care instructions.
• Collaborate closely with dermatology providers and the broader specialty care team.
