Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Clinical Educator in Calhoun, GA to lead clinical orientation and ongoing education for students and staff. You will develop training materials, coordinate programs, and ensure competency across clinical teams, both on-site and in virtual formats.

The role emphasizes evidence-based teaching, collaboration with other educators, and scaling staff education for new policies and equipment, with travel regionally up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical/Vocational School required.
• Associate's of Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.
• Develops and rolls out training materials including competency checklists for clinical skills and courses.
• Coordinates training programs and ensures materials available before/during/after training.
• Supports development of students and clinical staff through evidence-based policies.
• Hosts training sessions for students on-site and virtually (e.g., Fast Track Medical Assistant, Clinical Ladder).
• Assists with onboarding of student externs and secures preceptors.
• Plans and implements staff education for new policies, equipment, and performance initiatives.
• Collaborates with other educators to design educational programs with innovative teaching techniques.
• Performs Environment of Care surveys across regional offices.

Job Description:

Schedule: Full Time Shift: Requires full availability for Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm ------------------------------------- Actively instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions. Develop and roll out training materials including, but not limited to, competency checklists for clinical skill and new/ongoing clinical courses. Coordinate training programs and ensure proper training materials are available prior to, during, and after training The Clinical Educator supports the development of students and clinical support staff fostering knowledge and skill enhancement through the delivery of evidence based clinical policies. Host training session for students participating in clinical courses on sight and virtually including, but not limited to, Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder classes. Assist with onboarding of student externs, including, but not limited to, providing assistance and support to all students regarding the application process, supporting documents, orientation requirements; secures preceptor and ensures all documents and application are complete and approved prior to the student rotations. Participate in planning and implementing staff education to new policies/procedures, equipment, and performance improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with other clinical educators to design educational programs that require innovative teaching techniques. Perform Environment of Care Surveys, including but not limited to participating in site surveys at offices throughout the Region, ensure all offices are following best practices as relates to Environment of care initiative. Assesses educational needs for PHD or specific clinical units. Assists in the professional development of staff via assessment of needs with planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. Provides individual instruction as necessary. Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, and event sessions for new hire orientations and education events. Proctor certification exams. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Up to 50% travel may be required regionally with rare overnight stays state-wide. Act as a role model in service standards.

Work Experience:

2+ years physician practice operations teaching [Preferred] 1+ years training/preceptor experience in a healthcare environment [Required] 1+ of relatable ambulatory healthcare experience [Required] Experience in adult learner education/teaching experiencer field [Preferred] Experience supervising staff [Preferred] Experience teaching in formal/informal settings [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
