You will help lead the nursing team, assign daily tasks, and serve as a liaison between medical and nursing staff to support safe, high-quality care.

• Graduation from a Practical Nursing program is required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience at Bassett Healthcare in current practice.
• Current NYS licensure as a Practical Nurse is required.
• BLS Certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the RN or Physician.
• Leads nursing assignments and acts as liaison between medical and nursing staff on clinical issues.
• Assists with orientation, training and documentation of new clinical staff.
• Assigns schedules, monitors performance, and ensures coverage as needed.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality according to policy.
• Performs and documents Point of Care testing and quality control as observed.
