Job summary

Riverside Medical Group in Williamsburg, Virginia seeks a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform focused patient assessments, administer medications under a physician, and support nursing operations. You will handle vital signs, documentation, and patient education while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

This role requires LPN licensure in Virginia, CPR/BLS certification, and a program graduate status.

Qualifications

• Program graduate, Licensed Practical Nurse (Required).
• 1 year nursing experience (Preferred).
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - VDHP Upon Hire(Required).
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/AHA/ARC Upon Hire(Required).

Responsibilities

• Accurately completes all required clinical documentation consistently per Riverside Medical Group standards. Maintains documentation for quality assurance to include but not limited to point of care testing, medication logs and annual wellness visits.
• Provides patient education as needed and educates patients as necessary about the medications prescribed for them.
• Answer telephone calls from patients, pharmacies, physicians, vendors, etc. by close of business. Communicate lab/pathology results and schedules additional tests per provider order.
• Ensures proper reimbursement from insurance companies by performing pre-authorization for prescription drugs, procedures, and patient tests.
• Demonstrates the ability to build trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs.
